Hydrocarbon gas treatment and processing

Removal of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, mercaptans and other impurities from natural gas, gases from gas-condensate fields, associated gases and hydrocarbon gases, formed during crude oil and hydrocarbon refinery.

• Absorption gas treating from hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide by chemical solutions, physical and physico-chemical solvents
• Adsorption extraction of hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans from gases using zeolites, activated carbon, solid sorbents based on iron compounds, zinc oxide
• Removal of mercaptans from gases by alkaline solutions
• Membrane technologies for removal of nitrogen and carbon dioxide from gases
• Biotechnological processes to remove hydrogen sulfide from hydrocarbon gases
• Liquid redox technology for removing hydrogen sulfide from gas streams using chelated iron complex

Hydrocarbon Gas Dehydration

• Glycol dehydration of gases
• Gas dehydration on solid sorbents (aluminium oxide, silicagel, synthetic zeolites)
• Processes to meet requirements of standards on hydrocarbon dewpoint in gases

Gas Treating Related Technologies

• Gas compression

• Methanol regeneration
• Enhancement of methane in associated gases
• Processing of liquid hydrocarbons (gas condensate, liquefied petroleum gas, light oil products, gasoline, nafta) and of gases to remove different impurities, such as H2S, СО2, mercaptanes, СОS, organic acids, HCl, NH4Cl, esters, amines, NH3, etc.
• Amine regeneration at centralized plants of refineries
• Stripping of sour water from different plants of refineries from dissolved H2S and ammonia, and subsequent recovery of formed SWS gas at SRU

Production of Elemental Sulfur

Production of sulfur from hydrogen sulfide containing gases:

• Modified Claus process
• Oxygen-enriched air or oxygen enriched Claus process
• Catalytic direct oxidation of hydrogen sulfide into elemental sulfur
• Destruction of ammonia in NH3 containing hydrogen sulfide gases, formed during sour water stripping, at SRUs
• Production of elemental sulfur from SO2 containing tail gases using high-temperature reduction of sulfur dioxide by methane

SRU tail gas treatment

• Process, consisting of catalytic reduction of sulfur compounds that are contained in process tail gases into hydrogen sulfide and subsequent cooling of reduced process gas and its treatment by selective solvent with hydrogen sulfide absorption
• Processes based on oxidation of hydrogen sulfide in process gases into elemental sulfur using direct air oxidation on selective catalyst
• Processes based on reaction of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide contained in tail gases, which proceed on catalyst bed at sulfur subdewpoint
• Processes based on removal of sulfur compounds – sulfur dioxide – from SRU flue gas

Elemental sulfur handling for its further use

• Liquid sulfur degassing
• Sulfur granulation
• Grinding sulfur production
• Block sulfur melting and liquid sulfur filtration
• Processes and equipment for efficient brimstone or elemental sulfur burning in • sulfuric acid production systems or for SO2 containing gas production
• Use of sulfur for production of construction materials (sulfur cement, sulfur concrete, sulfur asphalt)

Treatment of flue gases and off gases from harmful impurities

Cleaning of Flue and Off Gases from Sulfur Dioxide
